Hi! I'm Dan Mihai, a mechanical engineer based in Romania, currently working as a CAE engineer — running structural simulations on both metals and composite materials, making sure designs hold up before they're ever built.

My interest in software actually started with my bachelor's thesis — I had no programming background before that, but ended up building a combustion-analysis program in MATLAB, using its GUI toolbox for the interface. That was the spark. Since then I've kept building small personal projects and automating tasks on the side. Right now, artificial intelligence is what I'm most curious about, and I'm slowly working my way toward actually understanding it.

I like understanding things properly rather than just getting them to work, and I try to keep what I build — simulations, code or this website — simple and clear.
